The Stories of Women Who Died for Ukraine project was launched by the Women’s Veterans Movement with the support of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance (UINP).

Anisimova Hanna

She died on November 11, 2018 while serving in Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.

Baklanova Alesia

Died on October 10, 2018 at about 8 pm while on duty near the Butivka mine.

Vitovska Anastasiia

She died tragically on the night of September 27, 2019 at a company base near the town of Zalizne from multiple shrapnel wounds.

Vovk Alla

She died on November 18, 2015 at 1:00 pm on the Severodonetsk-Novoaidar highway near the village of Grechyshkine (Novoaydarsky district, Luhansk region) in an accident.

Halytska Sabina

She died on February 20, 2018 at 15.08 during a combat mission (replacement of personnel with a joint venture), as a result of a direct hit by a PTKR in the BRDM.

Horbachova Anastasiia

She died on August 6, 2015 from a gunshot wound in the city of Mariupol (Donetsk region).

Kulish Olena

Shot on August 10, 2014 by LNR bandits in the village of Peremozhne, Lutuhyn district, Luhansk region together with her husband Volodymyr Alekhine for volunteering to the Ukrainian military.

Morozova Nadiia

She died tragically on June 26, 2017 near the village of Pavlopol, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region.

Nikonenko Yaroslava

She died on October 15, 2019 in a sniper confrontation at the positions of the Armed Forces near the city of Marinka (Donetsk region).

Noskova Kateryna

She died on August 16, 2015 during a mortar attack near the city of Horlivka (Donetsk region).

Onyshchenko Liudmyla

She died on January 18, 2017 while on duty in Popasna, Luhansk region.

Salakhutdinova Olena

She died on December 19, 2020 as a result of an accident while performing official duties in the area of the village of Vesele, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region.

She died on February 1, 2020 in a forest near the village of Novotoshkivske, Popasnyansky district, Luhansk region, from multiple shrapnel and fatal blind bullet wounds during the delivery of medicines to the positions of the Armed Forces.

Surhuchova Alina

She died on April 13, 2017 while serving in the Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.

Slobodyanyuk Victoria

She died tragically on January 8, 2021 at the location of the unit in Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

Khoruzha Nataliia

She died on February 2, 2017 as a result of a direct hit by a PTKR in a medical vehicle near the village of Luhanske, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region (“Svitlodarska Duga”).

Chervona Yana

She died on April 2, 2019 at the positions of the Armed Forces near the village of Novozvanivka in Luhansk region from a direct hit of a mine in a dugout during the shelling of a platoon base with 82-mm and 120-mm mortars.

Shevchenko Iryna
